Josmarly has had over 18 years of dance experience. She began her dance career at the age of 5. As a club dancer on different TV channels in Venezuela, she immersed herself in a ballet academy at the biggest television channel in Venezuela, Venevision’s Ballet, where she became a professional dancer. During her career, she has performed live shows and concerts with great singers such as Sonora Poncena, Tito Rojas, Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz, Luisito Carrion, and Frankie Negron. She teaches different rhythms such as Salsa, Bachata, Cha-Cha, and Hip-Hop. Since 2000, Josmarly has performed in different venues in Venezuela, Miami, Texas, and Los Angeles.

In 2008, Josmarly participated in a reality show in Venezuela called “Bailando con las Estrellas” (Dancing with the Stars), where she received fourth place out of twenty participants. From 2008 to 2011, Josmarly continued her career as a pro dancer in Venezuela, where she born. In Caracas, she also was selected to become choreographer at Grizzly Dance Company, a subsidiary company located in Los Angeles. Moreover, she has been the image of different shoe brands including the renowned G-Franco Dance Shoes, located in California. In 2012, Josmarly decided to take her career up to the next level, and she moved to California, USA.

In Miami, she won third place at The Word Latin Dance Cup 2012 (ON 1) on 2012, in 2014, Josmarly received fourth place in the Miami Salsa Summit Championship (solo). She also performed at The Texas Salsa Congress, The College Salsa Congress (Los Angeles), Rose City Salsa & Timba Festival, San Francisco Salsa Festival, Tucson Salsa Bachata Dance Festival, DC Bachata Congress, Albuquerque Latin Dance Festival, Tampa Salsa & Bachata Festival.

In addition to performing, Josmarly has choreographed at the best clubs in California along with different Salsa and Bachata singers such as Tito Rojas, Luisito Carrion, Grupo Gale, Sonora Poncena, Jhonny Polanco, and Son Miron. In 2014, Josmarly started her own dance business, LATIN ZONE ENTERTAINMENT, a dance academy, located in Baltimore, MD. Here, she works as a choreography director and dance instructor.

Josmarly is certified in Zumba, and she is creating her own dance cardio routine for fitness classes. The next step for Josmarly is producing local events to help Baltimore dance scene grow and give dancers more venues to expose their talents.

After a long run with Grizzly Dance Company in Los Angeles, California, Josmarly wanted to create a space where dancers from South America could expose their talents and create a stable job out of dancing. She wanted to create choreographies that include all facets of Latin culture. That’s why she named the dance company Latin Zone. All Hispanic people can fit in.

When people started asking Josmarly to teach, a friend encouraged her to host the first performance team. Nowadays, Latin Zone is known for having the best dance instructor in the area. Josmarly has combined her friendly, positive personality and years of competitive professional experience to develop a teaching technique that helps people grow and have fun at the same time.
